Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about quotes, pickup, payment and paperwork. For your vehicle or location, call (239) 321-6781 or use the contact form.
Offer & Payment
Do you really pay cash at pickup?
We can pay cash or check at pickup. Confirm your preferred method when arranging the sale.
How do you decide what to pay?
Year, make, model, condition, completeness (engine, transmission, catalytic converter, wheels and tires present), title status, location, and current parts and resale demand. Describe known damage and missing parts so the quote reflects the vehicle.
Do you charge any fees?
Pickup is free when we buy. Confirm the purchase amount, payment method and any other terms before accepting the offer.
Pickup & Towing
Do you charge for towing?
Pickup is free when we buy your vehicle. Confirm your pickup location and access before scheduling.
How fast can you pick up my car?
Same-day pickup is often available for calls received before 3 p.m. Eastern. Later calls can usually be scheduled for the next day. Tell us your preferred pickup day when you call.
Do you offer same-day pickup?
Same-day pickup is often available for calls before 3 p.m. Eastern. Confirm availability for your vehicle and address. See Same-Day Pickup.
Do I need to be there for the pickup?
Confirm who will attend, who can legally sign and the required documents before scheduling. If you cannot attend, explain the situation first.
Do you tow non-running cars?
We consider non-running cars. Explain whether the vehicle rolls and steers, and mention flat tires, locked wheels or missing keys so loading can be assessed. See non-running cars.
Where do you pick up from?
Driveways, side yards, storage lots, repair-shop bays, apartment complexes (with manager coordination), HOA-managed lots, mobile-home parks, 55+ communities, gated subdivisions, and rural / agricultural addresses.
Vehicles We Buy
Do you buy non-running and wrecked vehicles?
We consider junk, damaged, wrecked and non-running vehicles. Describe the condition, missing parts and access before pickup is arranged.
Do you buy trucks, vans, and SUVs?
We consider older pickups, work trucks, vans and SUVs. Tell us the exact model, mileage, condition and title status.
Do you buy running daily drivers, or only junk cars?
Both. Junk, damaged and non-running cars are our specialty; older running cars are welcome and priced on age, mileage and condition. See Cash for Cars.
Do you buy older cars from the 1990s or earlier?
Yes — depends on the car. Some older vehicles have parts demand or scrap-weight value; some don't. Call with the year, make, and condition.
Do you buy salvage-title and rebuilt-title vehicles?
Tell us the exact title brand and which documents you have. Ownership, vehicle condition and documentation must be reviewed before a sale; a salvage or rebuilt label does not guarantee eligibility.
Do you buy flood-damaged cars?
Yes — Water exposure, corrosion or electrical damage. See Flood-Damaged Cars.
Do you buy boats, RVs, motorhomes, or motorcycles?
Cars and trucks are the focus; RVs, motorhomes, large box trucks, and motorcycles are case-by-case.
Do you buy commercial / fleet vehicles?
Yes — small-business work trucks, contractor fleets, and lawn-care / trade vehicles. Title needs to be in the company's name with someone authorized to sign.
Title & Paperwork
What documents do I need ready when you arrive?
Tell us whose name is on the title and whether it is lost, electronic, salvage or subject to a lien. A sale requires lawful ownership and the right documents; not every no-title vehicle qualifies. Confirm the paperwork before scheduling pickup.
Do I need a title to sell a car in Florida?
A clean title in your name is the easy path. Title issues are case-by-case:
- Lost title — check the FLHSMV duplicate-title process and current county options; timing varies.
- Title in deceased relative's name — confirm the required estate or surviving-owner documents with the tax collector.
- Title with a lien — ask the lienholder and tax collector how the lien must be resolved; do not assume payoff at pickup is available.
- Title never transferred from previous owner — establish the lawful ownership-transfer path before arranging a sale.
- No title at all — not every vehicle qualifies for an alternative process. Lawful ownership is required.
Don't assume yes or no. Call (239) 321-6781 with the VIN and the situation. Our Florida no-title guide explains common paths; FLHSMV is the source for title requirements.
What about the registration?
Registration can help identify the vehicle, but it is not a substitute for lawful ownership and the documents required for the sale.
Do I need to remove the license plates?
Yes. Florida requires the plate to come off when ownership transfers.
Do you handle the paperwork on your end?
Confirm the required transfer documents before pickup, keep a sale record and follow applicable notice-of-sale requirements. Review the FLHSMV selling checklist.

Insurance & Title-Loss Vehicles
My car was totaled by insurance and they paid me out — can I still sell it?
Confirm with the insurer who owns the vehicle after the settlement and what title documents are required. Only arrange a sale if you still have lawful authority to sell it.
My insurance buyback came with a salvage title — does that lower the offer?
The title brand, damage, remaining parts and other vehicle details can affect a quote. Tell us what documents the insurer issued before discussing a sale.
The accident wasn't my fault and I'm waiting on the other driver's insurance — should I sell now?
Before selling or releasing the vehicle, ask the insurer what inspection, evidence and ownership steps are still required for your claim.
Special Situations
Can you pick up from an impound lot or body shop?
Tell us which lot or shop holds the vehicle. Confirm release permission, access and any outstanding charges with that business before arranging pickup.
The car has been sitting for years. Still buyable?
We consider cars that have been sitting. Describe the condition, flat tires, locked wheels and access so we can discuss the vehicle and loading arrangements.
My car is missing the engine / transmission / interior.
Tell us what has been removed. We consider incomplete vehicles; eligibility and the offer depend on what remains.
It's a project car I never finished.
Describe the project and any loose or removed parts. Discuss what is included and how it can be collected safely.
The vehicle is at a relative's house and I'm out of state.
Explain the location, who owns the vehicle and who can attend and sign. Confirm the required documents before scheduling.
I'm a property manager / HOA / mobile-home park manager with an abandoned vehicle.
A vehicle left on your property is not automatically yours to sell. An owner-authorized sale and private-property towing are separate processes. Consult the relevant authority or qualified towing provider and read our Florida abandoned-vehicle guide.
